Pushin Daisies – a mortuary novelty shop

It’s time to put the fun in funeral again! This month I’m showcasing a shop whose aim is to do exactly that!

‘Pushin Daisies offers everything relating to the mortuary business, from the funny to the bizarre. Our funeral related novelties and gift items offered are perfect for the post-mortem collector or death enthusiast. Pushin Daisies gift shop was created for the funeral director, by a funeral director.’ pushindaisies.com

There’s a huge range of products on the site with something for any fan of morbid humour!

There’s a few things in particular which really caught my eye!

I really want a set of these notecards, they are just so cool! Perhaps I could send them as thank you presents to cemeteries and researchers for assistance given for my research? They’d be perfect for sending with giveaways for my readers too!

Although my taste in clothes is usually quite elaborate, when I’m doing fieldwork I have to be practical and comfortable! This polo shirt would be perfect!

I own a tombstone cookie cutter. I found it in a bag of halloween cutters in Poundland last year! I baked these biscuits for my students with it! It’s not very accurate though so I much prefer this one!

Tombstone soaps! This one is 'Good Night' with essential oils of Sweet Orange, Grapefruit, Nutmeg, and Bay.

When I have my own house I will be buying these for the bathroom! There are currently seven scents available, in addition to Good Night (pictured above), I also like the sound of Father Thyme.

Coffin gift box! Available in three sizes and a set of three.

I love these so much. I’m very very tempted to get some of the larger ones for storage. Perhaps I’ll treat myself if I manage to get a permanent desk at uni for working at when the new post-grad building opens. There are also a rnage of other coffin gift bags and boxes available here.

Gravestone rubbing kit with waxes, paper, brush for cleaning and tape for holding the paper steady. Also comes with instructions and info about the AGS.

I’ve seen these kits advertised in AGS quarterly and I’m sorely tempted by one. Although I’ve done a fair few rubbings, I have used improvised materials – especially when it comes to paper! It would be nice to do it properly!

It’s fair to say there are quite a few things I’d like to order from Pushin Daisies! I may be spending some of my upcoming birthday money there! There are a variety of international shipping options available which I really appreciate.

Have you ever purchased from Pushin Daisies? Any favourite products I have overlooked?
