Commonly asked questions about my research and this blog. Some of these answers are ever-so-slightly-rambling (i.e. long, overly verbose and passionate) and therefore I’ve placed them in separate posts and linked to them below.
First Sunday of the Month – Upcoming events
Second Sunday of the Month – Cemetery guides
Third Sunday of the Month – Studying death and disposal
Forth Sunday of the Month – Putting the Fun in Funeral
Five week month will conclude with a guest post!
Contributing to this blog
Although this blog is primarily focused around my research and other cemetery and funerary practice related topics I have come across during my studies, I’d also like to include relevant information from other authors. So if you are an artist making cemetery inspired screen-prints or a historian looking at the use of burial records for genealogy or involved with cemeteries in any other way you think would be of interest to my readers, please get in touch to arrange a guest post! You can contact me directly by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you don’t have the time or inclination to write a guest post but would like to draw my attention to a place or topic please do so! I’m always excited to learn about cemetery sites which I might previously have overlooked (from anywhere on the globe or any time period). If there is something you’d like to see me write a post about, from any however tenuously related field, please ask. I’ll do my best to include anything from the history of voodoo practice to Ancient Greek funerals, and anything in between! It might take me a while to get to a post depending on my current research load and the time of year; if the weather is ‘nice’, or at least as pleasant as it gets in the UK, I’m probably doing a lot of fieldwork…
